We read every message and aim to reply within one business day.
Include the email address on your Clarity account. If something looks wrong with a number, a screenshot of the screen helps us find it much faster.
Connecting a bank
Clarity connects to financial institutions through Plaid, and the connection is read-only — Clarity can never move your money. If a bank won’t link or a connection stops updating, open Accounts and reconnect it; banks periodically expire the permission and ask you to sign in again.
If your institution isn’t supported, you can add it as a manual account and enter balances yourself. Everything else in Clarity — budgets, forecasts, goals, reports — works with manual accounts.
Subscriptions and billing
If you subscribed on iPhone, your subscription is billed by Apple. Manage or cancel it in the App Store app → tap your account photo → Subscriptions → Clarity. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends, and Apple handles any refund requests.
If you subscribed on the web, manage it from Billing while signed in.
Paid plans include a monthly allowance of AI credits for Sterling, auto-categorization and receipt scanning. Everything that isn’t AI is unlimited on every plan.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app: open the “···” tab, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account. If you haven’t subscribed, the same option is on the plan screen. Deletion is permanent — it removes your login, transactions, budgets, forecasts, goals and chats, and revokes any bank connections.
Deleting your Clarity account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel that separately in the App Store, as described above. If you can’t sign in to delete your account, email us and we’ll do it for you.
Your data
Clarity never sells your data and never uses it to train AI models. The Privacy Policy lists every processor we use and what each one receives; the Terms of Service cover the rest.
Clarity is a personal finance tool, not a bank, broker-dealer, money transmitter or registered investment adviser. Sterling answers questions about your own records and is not financial advice.
Clarity is operated from Florida, United States. Questions we haven’t answered here go to support@clarityapp.money.
